NHS DENTAL CRISIS UPDATE

The NHS Dental Crisis is an ongoing issue which has meant many people across the UK have been unable to access the dental care they need. The crisis is a result of a combination of factors including lack of funding and a lack of new dentists coming into the workforce.

S3 Dental Haywards Heath is no longer providing NHS dental care and will only be offering private dental care for the foreseeable future.

Over 45% of qualified nurses left the general dental councils register in 2022 and over 54% of dentists significantly reduced their NHS commitments. This has lead to a national shortage of NHS dentists which has made replacing previous NHS dentists impossible.

We are deeply disappointed with the current lack of funding and poor contracts for NHS dentists, which means we are unable to provide NHS care.

We are still available to provide the highest quality of dental care to any of our patients who chose to remain under our care on a private basis.
